about
When I say Colorado wife, what I really mean is Colorado transplant wife. Ever since my husband, Nic, and I became friends, we have ALWAYS talked about moving out west. We are both originally from Southeast Ohio, but spent most of our high school/college years dreaming of living in the mountains and being able to snowboard and hike 24.7. Fast forward to our wedding, 6.16.2014, which lead to buying a house, finding jobs and finding out we were having a baby, all while still in Ohio. We wrestled this idea for a while. Went back and forth thinking how impractical it was to up and move, with a 7 month old, and fulfill our dreams. We prayed. We job searched. Then finally, the Lord opened up a door, in the exact time frame we prayed about and almost gave up on.
So here we are. Living in a small apartment in the outskirts of Denver, CO! Hoping to be in a house in the very near future. The Lord continues to amaze us with his blessings. It wasn't long after we moved here that I started making some wonderful/amazing momma friends, who have become some very best friends. But it doesn't stop there. At first, we had a really hard time finding a church. Comparing all churches to our church back home. None of them felt "right." Until a friend told us about this church plant happening in West Arvada. So we figured, why not, lets try this out too. Well friends, we found home. We have jumped aboard a Church Plant Launch called Storyline Fellowship. God had a plan all along.
So what do I do all day? Well, I am a stay at home momma, for now, and a Young Living Essential Oil Distributor. I LOVE staying home with my sweet Mia. Being a part of her every day growing, learning, challenging, pushing and screaming is a blessing that I didn't think I would ever get to experience. Every day is an adventure and challenge. Why essential oils? They are natural and chemical free. I know exactly what we are putting in our bodies. From the minute I started using them, I fell in love. When you have a child, you look at EVERYTHING you put into their body so much more closely than your own. I am fully responsible for this tiny little human and do not want to mess her up. Thats where essential oils came in. They helped her belly & sleep in the beginning and now we use them for everything. I am sure one day I will be in a classroom teaching again, but for now...
Join me in this journey of momma hood, church plant, life transplant and new beginnings. Oh and did I mention, I LOVE decorating/interior design.
